How to respond to a discussion prompt:
Click on the discussion tab at the top of the screen on the page of the novel we are discussing.
Click on the current discussion prompt
Reply to the prompt - your answer should be at least one medium sized-large paragraph and be worthy of comment.
Do NOT simply state an opinion without substantiated factual support. Tell us
you think what you do.
For most of your discussion assignments, you will be doing two things:
1.)Stating your own opinion as it pertains to a quote, reading selection, or video segment
2.)Responding to someone else’s post-your response can be a comment indicating whether you agree/disagree, or you can expand on a point that a classmate brought up in his/her response
-You should reply to
at least one
of your peers' responses.
These are not to be derogatory in nature.
Be sure to put the name of the person you are responding to in the subject.
